Truus Schut Stichting
The foundation carries out and stimulates research into disorders of the brain and the nervous system, in particular dementia.
Next to this, we actively participate in fundamental research into tailor-made building blocks for medicines (so-called designer proteins) which may contribute to the treatment of rare diseases such as COVID-19. We do this in collaboration with universities and other institutions.
The foundation is named after Truus Schut, the mother of founder Harald Feldmann. A dementia patient for years, she has been the inspiration for his research that has led to several acientific papers in Nature Research journals, including Nature.
The logo is an image from the TV commercial that Dutch internet provider XS4ALL made in 2017 about a discovery we were involved in.
The Truus Schut Foundation is a registered Dutch non-profit organization.
